Our Systems delivers record-breaking performance, simplified management, high availability, and cost-saving efficiencies. Oracle engineering teams across the technology stack are working together to design the industry most powerful and reliable systems for enterprise, Web and high-performance computing infrastructures.
Engineered Systems: are purpose-built hardware and software pre-assembled and supported as a single system. Building every component in the technology stack, only Oracle can optimize complete systems from the ground up to provide the lowest TCO, easiest deployment and maintenance, and fastest performance for the services they were engineered for. These systems eliminate the inherent risks and time-consuming efforts of building custom systems with components from multiple vendors.

New All-Flash Oracle Database Appliance Portfolio

Now, organizations of all sizes can take advantage of an optimized, engineered system for Oracle Database environments.

Get simplified, optimized, and affordable database performance that is just right for your business.

Private Cloud Appliance: provides agile and rapid deployments of infrastructure hardware, application software, and virtualized systems.
ZFS Storage Appliance: is the premier NAS storage system with unified storage capability and innovative data services. It includes multi-protocol support for InfiniBand, 1/10 GbE, and fibre channel.
The Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance is the world first engineered system designed specifically for database protection. The Recovery Appliance delivers continuous protection for critical databases while offloading all backup processing from production servers to minimize overhead.

Mini Cluster is a simple and efficient engineered system designed to run enterprise databases and applications with uncompromising security.

VM Server for x86

Oracle VM is the most efficient server virtualization software for all applications. It provides Solaris, Linux and Windows support. It also includes integrated enterprise management from disk to applications to cloud. Management features include live migration of running applications, configuration management, dynamic resource management, capacity management, and power management. Via Oracle VM Storage Connect, it also embeds storage provisioning and management. Oracle VM is the only certified virtualization and sub capacity licensing solution for Oracle products.

VM Server for SPARC

Oracle VM Server for SPARC CMT servers allocates a server’s resources, such as CPU, memory, and IO into logical domains or virtual groupings, creating multiple discrete systems, each with their own operating system, resources, and identity within a single computer. For high availability, virtualization mobility features like warm migration and automatic failover move virtual resources to other systems with minimal downtime. For security, Oracle VM ensures isolation between virtual systems.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure manages and provides access to virtualized desktop environments hosted in the datacenter. Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure enables organizations to simplify administration, reduce operating costs, increase the utilization of existing IT assets, mitigate the cost of storage, and boost security by moving from a traditional desktop environment to a virtual desktop architecture.

Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure supports a broad variety of client devices, virtual desktop operating systems, and virtualization platforms to meet data security, user experience and TCO goals. It supports a wide choice of virtual desktop operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Ubuntu.

Virtual Assembly Builder

Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder creates and configures entire multi-tier application topologies and provisions them onto virtualized and cloud environments. It captures the entire configuration of enterprise applications which consist of a Web server, application server and database and packages the components into self-contained, single-purpose virtual machines called software appliances. Via a drag-and-drop visual interface, Virtual Assembly Builder creates complex application topologies and connects appliances into cohesive, reusable assemblies. With minimal or no manual intervention, assemblies spanning multiple tiers are deployed as a single unit.

Solaris Containers

Solaris Containers run application environments built on old Solaris and Linux releases on the latest Solaris SPARC systems without modification. Decoupling the hardware upgrade from a corresponding OS and application upgrade, customers can consolidate many systems onto a newer, more cost effective and powerful Sun server. Protecting their IT investment, organizations can then transition legacy environments to the latest Solaris release at their own pace. OS virtualization with Solaris Containers enables customers to maintain their "one-application-per server" deployment model while consolidating those applications onto shared hardware resources. Containers isolate applications using flexible, software -defined boundaries and create private execution environments that can be replicated across Solaris instances.

VM VirtualBox

VirtualBox is a small-footprint, high-performance, virtualization platform that installs and runs as an application on a variety of Windows, Solaris, Mac OS X, or Linux host operating systems. It creates multiple virtual machines into which users can install whatever guest operating systems they need. So, users can easily build, test and run cross-platform, multi-tier applications on a single computer. With hypervisor enhancements for SMP enabling optimum performance and support for up to 32 vCPUs per guest, VirtualBox handles intensive workloads. It also supports the Open Virtualization Format (OVF) appliances to interoperate with other virtualization platforms.
